BEBE TRIO
Alexander Shonert - violin
Petr Špaček - violoncello
Igor Barboi - accordion
The BEBE Trio comes from the Czech Republic, the land of magic and legends, the birthplace of great musicians. The trio consists of a violin, a violoncello and an accordion, and has a bright orchestral sound, which allows us to perform works of almost any genre. The repertoire of our trio is very diverse and interesting: classical and modern music, jazz works in original arrangements, tango, Bossa Nova, and popular music from movies and computer games. The name of the band comes from the word BEBE which means a child. We are like children in our hearts and enjoy every moment! We are open to everything new in our work and full of energy, which we are happy to reveal to the public at our concerts.

Alexander Shonert
VIOLIN
Violin virtuoso Alexander Shonert gives performances as a violin soloist throughout Europe and in the United States. In 2014 Shonert made his Washington DC début playing to a standing room only crowd at the National Gallery of Art. Mr. Shonert performs the standard violin classics as well as haunting impromptu melodies in an emotionally rich tone and interpretive style that puts him in a league of his own. Shonert's emotionally rich tone, his intensity of feeling and the striking originality of his interpretative style, combined with enchanting improvisations, make him one of the world's greatest violinists today.

The celebrated Maestro Josef Suk talks about Alexander Shonert and his interpretation of Dvorak's compositions on the Czech TV show "Z metropole", saying: "Shonert is a brilliant artist, gifted by God. I was touched by his work, my great-grandfather Antonin Dvorak is honored to be interpreted in such a way."

Czech National Artist, Maestro Vaclav Hudecek about Alexander Shonert's staccato playing said, "This is phenomenal! I have never heard anything like that in my life!"

Apart from giving live performances, Shonert is successfully engaged in teaching. He has developed his own teaching method based on the laws of psychology, physiology and energy. The prestigious British magazine The Strad wrote about Alexander Shonert: "It is admirable that he is willing to use his own phenomenal playing ability to illustrate his theories, and to share his skill with colleagues in an open fashion."

Shonert gives seminars and master classes in music academies and conservatories in Europe and the United States. He is the author of the books: "Advanced Violin Technique Vol. I" and "How to Master Firm Staccato Up and Down in 3 Lessons".
